A Review of the 2019 Audi A5 Sportback
The Audi A5 Sportback is one of the top luxury small cars. The base Premium trim features blind-spot monitoring, rear parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, heated windshield washer nozzles, heated side mirrors, keyless entry/ignition, tri-zone automatic climate control, among many other features. The premium plus, along with the features of the base premium, includes keyless entry with push-button start, wireless phone charging, LED headlamps, rear collision mitigation, and heated front seats with memory settings for the driver. The Navigation package is really impressive with a large 8.3-inch infotainment display.
The prestige version comes along with the self-parking feature, a head-up display, adaptive cruise control with Traffic Jam Assist, active lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, a top-view camera system, and road sign recognition. A5 Sportback comes with a 248-hp and 2.0-liter TFSI direct-injection DOHC four-cylinder engine with Audi valvelift system. The engine provides effortless power and the transmission is smooth and quick. The high performance and efficiency of the car come with seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive.
The car is very easy to drive fast through corners with its well-weighted steering and the response to the front tire from driver inputs is really fast. It takes A5 Sportback 5.7 seconds to reach from 0-60mph. All these features make Audi A5 Sportback a really powerful and efficient car that is a joy to drive. Audi A5 Sportback is considered to be one of the most fuel-efficient cars in its class. The materials in the interior of the car are of high quality. While the rear-seat passenger space is smaller than Aud A4 Sedan, it is spacious for two adults. Audi has an excellent MMI system which is very easy to use. The premium and midrange Premium Plus models are equipped with a 7.0-inch infotainment display. The sloping rear roofline of the A5 Sportback covers the power-operated liftgate and large cargo hold. Although the car has a small cargo area by volume, it can adjust a high volume of suitcases compared to similar rival cars.
Audi A5 Sportback has a high rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Some of the main safety features include lane-keeping assist, standard automated emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control.
